Fujairah (UAE): His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Emir of Fujairah, received a delegation of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) which has assembled its Member Federations for the 100 Years Anniversary Celebrations in the Emirate of Fujairah.

His Highness welcomed UIM President Dr Raffaele Chiulli, Council Members and Senior Officers of the International Powerboat Federation at the Palace and took the opportunity to express his appreciation for the positive impact sporting practice was having on the entire Community and on the Youth in particular.

It is the first time in three years that the Delegates of the UIM assemble again in person for the annual General Assembly, allowing the attending stakeholders of the Powerboating Sport to renew personal contacts and to exchange on-site.

\u201cSince the pioneering days of powerboat racing administration in the 1920s, the sport has evolved considerably and it is significant that we gather here in the UAE, a nation that has played a major role in the development of this sport in the past 30 years,\u201d said Dr. Chiulli.

\u201cOur appreciation goes to the Ruler of Fujairah, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the most prominent supporter and benefactor of marine sports in the Emirate of Fujairah.\u201d<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n
