In 2016, the Fujairah International Marine Club established the first youth training academy in the region, and the second globally, to train the youth for water sports activities.

\n\nAs the UIM \u2014 FIMC Youth Training Academy has entered its sixth year, it is now the first of its kind in the world. It is based on training and qualifying young people to compete in \u201cFormula Future\u201d, and the Fujairah Marine Sports Club established this academy in the framework of its relentless endeavor to develop the youth\u2019s talents.

\n\nAccording to the youth development program approved by the UIM, the academy currently includes around 150 members of both genders from the ages of 6 to 13 years for the Juniors section and from 14 to 18 years for the youth section.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

FIMC Youth Training Academy was opened on 23rd October 2016 being the first training academy in the Middle East & second in the world to be established. It aims to train the younger generation and is recognized by the UIM world government body. The inauguration was part of the program of the General Assembly of the UIM, which was hosted by the FIMC from 16th to 26th October 2016. With the blessing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Muhammad Al Sharqi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and, Ruler of Fujairah, and with the direct support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Fujairah International Marine Sports Club, cut the ribbon accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, UIM President, Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Malik, Secretary General of the General Authority for Youth Welfare, and Mr. Saeed Hareb \u2014 UAE Marine Sport Federation President at that time and a large number of representatives from marine clubs in the country and water sports, as well as all UIM committee members. Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim FIMC Managing Director stressed that the academy is a pride for the UAE in general and the Emirate of Fujairah in particular.
